La Barca del Salamanca - 9. Photos & 6. 1 Reviews - Seafood - Moll de Gregall, 1. La Vila Ol. It's my second time here and believe me, when you get . Their complimentary pan con tomato is not good at all. The bread is soggy and it's not the traditional way where you rub a piece of garlic in it. There were 3 different levels you can choose from but many choices in each. Prices ranges from as low as 1. The food is GREAT for the price you pay. What we ordered: Baby calamari. Tuna salad. Black ink rice - my favorite. Fideua- little spaghetti - my 2nd favorite. Sausages with cheese. Flan for dessert. This is the best kind of tourist trap. Yes, it is a tourist trap but the service is super friendly the fish is super fresh and it's all done very well. Como parte de la 56 Muestra de Cine Internacional en la Cineteca Nacional y celebrando los 100 aMy only complaint is the potatoes were over cooked and soaked in oil, but all of the shellfish and fish was cooked to perfection. The prawns we had were some of the best ever. We spent a lot of money, probably more than it's worth, but it was a great experience with good food. No complaints. I knew this was going to be a tourist trap but thought they might at least do simple seafood well. Nope - the king prawns were so disappointing. Crazy atmosphere with staff running around everywhere. The head waiter (or one of them) was so mean to one of the other waiters! The one redeeming thing was the free dessert they brought with Limoncello. It was some sort of nut pastry with powdered sugar and it was absolutely delicious! Rented bikes and road down the coast- -great time. Found La Barca on Yelp and was a great recommendation. The mussels were outstanding and fresh. Waiter also recommended a red wine that was great as well. Overall great experience. When we are back in Barcelona we will definitely do this again. Easily the worst place we went to over 2 weeks in Spain both food and service wise. We figured the paella would be good here because it's by the beach so, we thought the seafood part of the dish would be extra good. La dona, teixint cultures. My dad was looking forward to trying paella for the first time the whole trip and was severely disappointed. I think it basically scarred him from paella which is a real shame when you're in Spain. We also wanted to get something from the daily menu but they didn't have them in English. Some of it was ok but overall nothing special or memorable. This was also the only place that actually asked us for a tip when we were paying the bill. My brother naively gave 1. Muck. Tourist trap, the kinda place where the waiter keeps putting water on your table, gives you stupid smile when you say you didnt order it. Frozen food deep fried and paella that has been sitting idle and turned into sorry sludge by the time its served. Excellent food and excellent service BUT you do pay for it! We look this up on yelp in the airport before boarding our flight to Barcelona. We looked at the table length platter of seafood the entire flight to Barcelona, talked about it the entire flight and looked at the pictures. We said that was the first thing that we were going to do when we landed. We landed at 7 AM, taxicab bed it to the hotel, dropped our stuff off at the hotel, walked around a little bit and then went straight to the restaurant. We were the first ones there to eat, we were brought over and shown all of the first seafood that it was there. Beware of the barnacles (percebes)! We ate and ate and ate and ate. LA DONNA DEL LAGO - GIOACHINO ROSSINI - 1992 ( MILAN). La Donna del Lago DiDonato. 13:10 La Cenerentola. They brought us dessert with a bottle of grapas on the house. We really needed that grapas when we got the bill. Everything's market price and nobody told us what everything cost. And that was for lunch! This was when the dollar to euro was $1. Good place. But my suggestion it's eat inside because the weather get the food cold just in a few minutes, but it's not the problem of the restaurant ! Amor de dona: L'odi — Ricard. Huge place, recommended for families, large groups and you can walk to the beach in 5 min from there. My wife and I went here for lunch. We were sold by the live seafood that was on display and jumping around outside the restaurant. We ordered the salmon and tuna salad (served with romaine hearts). The salmon was made gravlax style with dill and tuna was flaky with mayonnaise. This salad was very good and could easily fill one's stomach. We also ordered the seafood paella (min 2 person order). We were very disappointed with the paella considering it was 1. The rice was semi hard and the sauce was very salty. The portion per person was very large and could have easily served 4 people instead of 2. We will never come back to this restaurant. The biggest reason is because the service was terrible. The waiters were very pushy and constantly harassed us for our order. The restaurant was practically empty when we sat down so the waiters may be just trying to over service but I had a poor impression of them. They served bread and added it to the bill without asking. The cost of the menu items should be rated 3 dollar signs instead of 2 and at the same time not worth the money. We had paella, suckling pork, and sea food soup. The paella was below my expectation specially for what was called the best place in Barcelona. The suckling pork the best dish of the night, while the soup had good sea food taste it was overly salty. Want to eat like a king? Go here and get the Menu of the Day for lunch! For 1. 5 Eur, each person got all of the appetizers on assorted menu, a main course, a drink, a dessert and a cafe. By the end of the meal, I just wanted to find the closest bed and take the longest siesta! The service was great - they were really nice and accommodating. Food was delicious - paella was GREAT, check out my picture. Recommended! SEAFOOD PAELLA. We only had paella once in Spain and this was amazing. For the three of us, we got this huge pan with shrimp, clams, calamari, the rice that comes in paella, I'm drooling just thinking about it. We couldn't even finish it was so much. The only downside about this place is the lack of waiters who can speak English because we asked if we had to pay for bread and they said no but they ended up charging us in the end. The view of the pier is beautiful and the restaurant is lovely. Great little place, but I felt a little taken advantage of. I didn't have a chance to even sit down or look at a menu before they whisked me away to the back to pick out my . Then handed a $2. Euro bill.. Not pleased about that. The food was decent - not $2. Four people, all four with diarrhea. Never go there. Shit place. Large restaurant, too fast service, may be most of things are just prepared and badly stored. When I went to Barcelona, La Barca del Salamanca was on my wish list ! Food was really good and the waiters were also really friendly ! Definitely one of the best places to eat fish in Barcelona and everything was really fresh. I went there two times and definitely not the last time .. Don't eat the cold soggy weird bread that they bring to the table and charge you for even if you don't order it. Orders come out fast and are cold because they are all prepared way in advance and sit out. I guess the paella tasted ok but I'm just trying to think of something positive here. Very cheap and tasty food!
